Not my Favourite

As a writer, film is teaching me the importance of pace and tension. Here we have an excellent cast, Emma Stone, Rachel Weisz, Olivia Colman, great character development but no payoff. The stuff about fighting the French, domestic insurrection, etc., is never satisfactorily developed. More plot please!

I'm sure there will be Oscars awarded. Personally I was going crazy when the film refused to end.
